The Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) was issued by the Nigeria Information Technology development Agency (NITDA) on the 25th of January 2019. The regulation imposed a few new obligations on organisations who handle the personal data of living Nigerian residents or citizens. One of such obligations is the completion of an annual audit for the year and to subsequently file the reports with Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) on or before the 15th of March every year.
